Training Our Way
Our training philosophy is based on understanding the fundamental needs of our pets and how essential it is to create a balance between all of them. These needs consist of socialization, exercise, structure, and affection. Having too much, or not enough, of these needs will throw off balance and create all the unwanted behaviors we have come accustomed to seeing. Anxiety, aggression, over-excitement, and disobedience to name a few. This style of training is what we call Balanced Obedience!
Balance is the key! This is why we teach the value of positive punishment and correcting your dog’s bad behavior, but also the importance of positive reinforcement by rewarding good behavior. Throughout your dog’s training journey, we will slide back and forth between the two of them to find that balance that allows us to be most effective. Just like humans, every dog will have a unique style of learning that is different than the next. This is where our balanced obedience approach proves its value! It allows us the freedom to have all the training tools at our disposal so we can be successful with every learning style.
Dog training offers many benefits including:
- Strengthening the dog/owner relationship
- Providing structure
- Correcting unwanted behaviors
- Promoting socialization skills and confidence
- Reducing separation anxiety
